The quality is substandard. The product sucks hard to put camera in and harder to get it out. The pouch that comes with the camera is better and easier to use. Tried to return the flip soft pouch but with restocking and shipping back it would have cost me $30 to receive acredit of $9.99.
DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. Can't even get the FLIP camera into it without really straining. Amazon should be ashamed selling this item at any price. It's made of a thin foam-like material similar to cheap cold drink covers.
So unless you are planning to throw your Flip across the room, don't buy this. Also, the Flip comes with a pouch that while flimsy, works fine for me. This pouch is a waste of money. While the material is protective, it is so hard to get the camera in the pouch that it seems to be more trouble than it is worth.
It is not a protective covering at all -- and it is awkward to use. The stripe comes off. The enclosure is poorly designed and annoying. Cheaply made, flimsy and hard to use. You have to remove the camera from the pouch to use and the pouch is obnoxious to put the camera back in (without turnign the camera on).AVOID this product. I got it at the last minute because of a family trip out of the country and after 3 days, it was toast. Avoid this. The ringlet for securing it to anything had fallen off so many times I was glad I had never snapped it to my waist (my original hope).
Fortunately, I didn't pay for this; it was a feebie, which is exactly what it's worth. The fabric pouch provided at no charge with Ultras works fine. The Flip Ultra is a great little video camera, but this neoprene pouch apparently was designed for the Mino series and not the Ultra series, which are significantly larger devices. The Ultra is very difficult to get in and out of this thing -- don't waste your money.
